Your Seat at the Table is an invitation to participate in building a better food system. Through education and community, we can foster hope, resilience, and a change for the better.

YSAT is the joint mission of Julia Agostino and Miranda Lipton, who met working as youth culinary educators in NYC schools. With similar backgrounds in food journalism, education, and farming abroad, they realized they also shared a pragmatic vision for building food systems awareness at the local level.

The term “food systems” can be defined quite simply: the interconnectedness of growing, processing, transporting, selling, marketing, and, ultimately, eating food. Each of these processes influence human and ecological health— at an individual and collective scale. We aim to equip our community with practical tools that help create a healthier life for all.

We are always open to collaborate with mission-aligned farms and businesses. If this sounds like you, drop us a line at hello@ysatnyc.com.
